S&P Global Platts has launched an FD NWE post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate bottle bale spot price assessment in light of market demand and effective Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
The new assessment will better capture the full recycling loop in the PET market.
The assessment will complement the existing FD NWE R-PET flake and FD NWE R-PET food grade pellet assessments.
The weekly assessment will take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time on Wednesdays and will reflect material with a minimum 80% colorless PET content in minimum 18 mt parcels for delivery in Northwest Europe, excluding France, within 3-30 days from the date of publication.
The assessment will be published on the Platts real-time Petrochemical Alert page PCA 506, in Polymerscan, Platts Market Center and Platts Market Data.
