S&P Global Platts has extended the US hard coking coal assessment spot loading laycan to 14-60 days effective June 3, from 14-45 days previously, following market feedback and a review of current typical trading practices.
This methodology change impacts the following assessments and codes:
High Vol A Coking Coal FOB USEC (AAWWS00)
High Vol A Coking Coal FOB USEC MAvg (AAWWS03)
High Vol B Coking Coal FOB USEC (AAWWT00)
High Vol B Coking Coal FOB USEC MAvg (AAWWT03)
Low Vol Hard Coking Coal FOB USEC (AAWWR00)
Low Vol Hard Coking Coal FOB USEC MAvg (AAWWR03)
The US met coal assessments are published in page 4 of the Steel Markets Daily publication, page 8 of Coal Trader International publication, and page 4 of Coal Trader publication.
