S&P Global Platts launched its revised Latin America and Caribbean Jet Fuel Index on Monday, June 3.
The Jet Index Latin America & Caribbean (PJLAC07) now includes the Mexico jet fuel assessment for cargoes delivered to Tuxpan (AATFG00), the Brazil jet fuel assessment for cargoes delivered to Santos (AJAAD00), and the Jet Kero Caribbean assessment (PJAAD00). The Mexican jet assessment makes up 70% of the total index, Brazil 20% and the Caribbean 10%.
Platts also changed the Latin America and Caribbean Index metric ton conversion factor to the industry standard of 7.9 to maintain consistency throughout its assessments.
The Latin America & Caribbean Jet Fuel Index (PJLAC07) still accounts for 4.08% of the Platts Global Jet Fuel Index.
