Platts launches FOB USGC styrene assessments in $/mt

S&P Global Platts has launched daily FOB US Gulf Coast styrene monomer assessments for the current month and second month in $/mt, effective June 3, 2019. This launch follows a feedback period that ended May 3, and a decision note published May 8.

The new assessments take into consideration price information gathered until 4 pm Central Time every day. The methodology follows the currently published methodology for Platts US Gulf Coast styrene monomer assessments published in cents/lb.

The assessments appear in Polymerscan, in Europe and Americas Petrochemicalscan and on Platts Petrochemical Alert pages PCA0448, PCA0435, PCA0541, PCA0774 and PCA0434.

The assessments appear in the Platts price database under the following symbols and descriptions:
