SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts corrects LNG freight route costs

Please note that Platts has corrected its LNG freight cost calculations for cargoes loading in Spain and Norway and discharging in Brazil for the period from January 2, 2015, to May 15, 2015. The freight cost calculations as published via Platts LNG Daily, Platts LF market data category and via natural gas alert (Page NG1025) had not been using appropriate constants for boil-off, fuel consumption and distance as per the published Platts methodology. The correct values used in the calculations are published on pages 18 and 19 of the Liquefied Natural Gas Assessments and Netbacks Methodology and Specifications Guide. The guide was updated January 2, 2015, to reflect the launch of the FOB East Atlantic LNG marker and corresponding freight route costs and comparisons.
