Platts changes Brazilian sugar assessments frequency to weekly from daily

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has updated the frequency of Brazilian sugar assessments to weekly from daily, effective June 1.

The change was due to persistent low liquidity in the Brazilian sugar intertrade spot market, and followed a proposal and decision notes, published March 13 and March 27, respectively, and available hereunder:

The assessments appear in the Platts Agriculture Alert on page 0510 and the Global Sugar Market Report.

The assessments will be published every Thursday, with the exception of US and Brazilian public holidays, when the assessments will be published in the prior working day.
