SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches new Supramax dry bulk assessments

Platts on June 1, 2015, has launched two new dry bulk Supramax freight assessments, reflecting established trade routes of petcoke from the US Gulf Coast.

The launch of assessments for these routes follows a proposal published on April 1, 2015. These new assessments reflect strong market interest in these routes and will be based on modern Supramax dry bulk tonnage.

Both assessments are published on a dollar per metric ton basis. The following two routes were introduced:
