Platts has changed the daily CFR China marker for styrene monomer as published on PCA 215 to reflect the mean of the third and fourth half-month forward assessment ranges (second and third half-month forward published assessment cycle) on June 1, 2012.
Previously, daily CFR China markers averaged the mean of the second and third half-month forward assessment ranges (first and second half-month forward published assessment cycle). The change brings the CFR China marker assessment in line with Platts' existing FOB Korea benchmark.
Daily FOB Korea assessment evaluates cargoes for delivery in second, third, fourth and fifth half-month forward cycles. Each half-month assessment cycle covers 15 or 16 days. All half-month cycles are rolled forward on the 1st and 16th day of each calendar month. For example, on June 1, 2012, the half-month cycles assessed would be H2 June, H1 July, H2 July and H1 August.
