USGC fuel oil timing change deferred to July 1

Platts has deferred the launch date for its US Gulf Coast residual fuel oil assessment time change to July 1, 2011, to allow time for Platts eWindow instruments to be updated.

On July 1, Platts assessment time frame for US Gulf Coast residual fuel oil will reflect barges loading seven to 15 days forward from date of publication, instead of the current five to 13 days forward standard.

The change would affect all US Gulf Coast residual fuel assessments in the USGC, including Slurry, 1%S, 3%S and RMG 380.
