Effective immediately, Platts will not publish non-standard bids and offers for US Atlantic Coast product (distillate and gasoline) barges during the Market on Close assessment process. This decision aligns with the typical practices in other US product markets, and ensures that the integrity of the assessment process is maintained.
Standard bids and offers for USAC gasoline and distillate barges should meet the specification basis for Platts assessments: three to seven days forward Monday-Wednesday, and five to nine days forward Thursday-Friday.
Platts will continue to publish Buckeye cycle positions that fall outside of this dated range as the timing optionality is determined by the pipeline operator.
However, Platts reserves the right not to use information for its assessment that falls outside of its assessment parameters.
Please contact americas_products@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com for more information.
