Following a period of industry feedback, Platts has decided to continue publishing its US Gulf Coast LS Diesel waterborne assessment as there is an export market in the US Gulf Coast for 500 ppm sulfur diesel.
The assessment will continue to be labeled as "LS Diesel" in Oilgram Price Report, US Marketscan, on Platts Global Alert page 571, and in Platts Dispatch.
Platts will also continue to publish its US Gulf Coast LS Diesel off-road waterborne assessment as there still exists a domestic barge market for off-road diesel.
On June 2, Platts will no longer publish its pipeline USGC LS Diesel assessment.
