Platts moves weekly US copper scrap, cathode assessments to Tuesday publication

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has synchronized its weekly US copper scrap and US copper cathode assessments to Tuesday publication, effective May 31.

The assessments are now published on Tuesdays, a move from their previous respective Wednesday and Thursday publications.

Assessments affected are as follows:

Copper Scrap:

No. 1 bare bright wire, delivered MW (MMACL10)

No. 1 burnt wire/pipe and tubing, delivered MW (MMACJ10)

No. 2 birch/cliff scrap, delivered FAS, main US ports (MMACN10)

Copper Cathode:

US copper cathode premium, delivered MW (MMACP00)

The assessments are published in Platts Metals Daily, Platts Metals Week Supplement and Platts Metals Alert on fixed page PMA0350, in Platts Dimensions Pro and in the Platts database under the above-mentioned codes.
