SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue CIF propane coaster assessment

After extensive feedback, S&P Global Platts will discontinue its Northwest Europe Propane CIF 1,000-3,000 MT coaster assessment with effect from July 2, 2018.

This decision follows a proposal published on April 30, 2018. The subscriber note is available here: https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/26951636 Platts will discontinue this assessment due to a lack of observable spot trading on a CIF basis, as prevailing coaster activity is primarily done on an FOB basis.

The discontinuation will impact the daily assessment that appears in the LPGaswire under the code PMAAZ00 and on Platts Global Alert page 1775.

Platts will continue to assess the Propane FOB NWE Seagoing market under the code PMABB00.
