SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts revises European generating fuel spread indicator methodology

Effective May 29, 2018, S&P Global Platts has updated its methodology for calculating European dark, spark, clean dark and clean spark spreads and generating fuel cost comparisons to include daily European electricity settlement prices from the European Energy Exchange (EEX) and the Iberian Derivatives Exchange (OMIP).

Platts has replaced its OTC German, French and Italian price assessments with European electricity settlement prices from EEX in those calculations. The electricity settlement prices from OMIP have replaced the use of Platts OTC Spanish price assessments in those calculations.
