SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts amends Worldscale baskets for dirty tanker assessments

Following Worldscale Association circular number 23 for 2019, S&P Global Platts will amend the Worldscale flat rate baskets used for $/mt calculations in 12 dirty tanker assessments, effective June 3, 2019.

The Worldscale circular said: "In light of recent information regarding Towage and Consolidated Charge increases at Sullom Voe the Associations find it necessary to revise all rates involving loading at this port".

With this amendment, the new flat rate for voyages involving Sullom Voe can be obtained by adding 11 cents/mt.

For Worldscale tanker assessments, Platts uses baskets of Worldscale flat rates as a basis for $/mt calculations.

The affected Platts assessments considering the Worldscale flat rate amendment are provided below.
