Platts is currently seeking feedback on a number of potential enhancements that it could make to the performance parameters within its European refined product barge Market on Close assessment processes. Platts hosted a Technical Workshop in Amsterdam on January 29, 2014 designed to discuss a number of issues with a wide audience and to engender a healthy environment for discussion and feedback. Areas discussed during the forum included but were not limited to standard barge size, buyer's nomination procedure, seller's terminal nomination, shortening of the laycan window, loading procedure and compensation following a delay. This note follows that ongoing work and is not aimed at any one, specific area. Rather, Platts is hoping to open the discussion to any interested party in order to receive their views and opinions on enhanced performance guidelines within the European refined product barge Market on Close assessment processes. Please send any feedback by June 25, 2014 to europe_products@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
