On June 1, 2009, the assessment time for Platts ICE Brent Futures (first and second month) at the US close will shift from 2:30 pm Eastern Time (ET) to 3:15 pm ET.
Platts launched these assessments on March 1 in Crude Oil Marketwire, North American Crude Wire, Platts Global Alert, Oilgram Price Report and in Dispatch as a marker for its Americas Dated Brent assessment.
Since March 1, Platts has assessed the transactable value for ICE Brent futures at 2:30 pm ET to align with the other underlying futures bases in the Americas.
Earlier this month, Platts announced its decision to align differentials and flat prices at exactly 3:15 pm Eastern Time (ET) for its oil and petrochemical assessment processes in the Americas.
