SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue CEE, Turkish power price assessments

Following industry consultation, S&P Global Platts has decided to discontinue its daily power price assessments for the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Turkey on July 29, 2016.

Platts remains committed to providing quality market information and commentary in all European power markets and will continue reporting on the above markets' activity, news, events and policy. Platts European power price assessments will continue to focus on the northwest and southwest European OTC prompt and forward markets.

The assessments to be discontinued are listed below and are published in Platts European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 210 (Czech), 78 (Hungary), 91 (Poland) and 260 (Turkey) and in Market Data category EE. Associated monthly average symbols in Market Data category EE and dynamic symbols in Market Data category PE will also be discontinued.

The discontinuation of Turkish power assessments will also result in the discontinuation of the Turkish dark and spark spreads published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert page 261 and in Market Data categories EE and EM.
