Platts to assess Australia-India dry bulk freight

Platts invites feedback by June 8 on plans to launch on July 5 daily spot price assessments of dry bulk freight between east Australia and India, reflecting that major trade route. Platts will assess standard Panamax class vessels, between east Australia main ports (Gladstone, Dalrymple Bay, Hay Point, Abbott Point, Brisbane, Newcastle and Port Kembla, normalized to Hay Point port, Queensland state); and India main ports (Paradip, Vizag and Haldia, normalized to Paradip port, Orissa state in eastern India).

Close-of-market data for both assessments will be 18:30 Singapore time (1030 GMT), coinciding with Platts other daily coking coal and dry bulk freight assessments. These assessments will be published in Platts Metals Alert page 1051, Steel Markets Daily, Coal Trader International, International Coal Report, and Platts Dispatch.
