Platts is seeking feedback on a proposal to amend the cargo size for US M1 and M2 styrene spot assessments to 3,000-5,000 mt to go into effect July 15, 2016.
The current standard cargo size that Platts considers for both its spot and contract assessments ranges from 1,000 mt to 5,000 mt. Platts will keep the contract assessment size from 1,000 mt to 5,000 mt at this time.
The proposal affects Platts daily styrene FOB US Gulf (AAIKW00 and AAJLW00). These styrene assessments are published on PC 339 and in Europe and Americas Petrochemical Scan.
Platts invites comments, questions and other feedback by June 15, 2016, with a view to implementation of the proposal for the cargo size change on July 15, 2016.
Please send all comments, feedback and questions to americaspetrochemicals@spglobal.com and pricemethodology@spglobal.com.
For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing.
