SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes merging European MTBE and ETBE commentaries

Platts proposes to merge the existing daily Northwest European MTBE and ETBE commentaries with effect from June 1, 2016, to better align the European coverage of ethers.

The combined commentary would appear on the Platts real-time platform, on pages PC0204, MH1397 and PB1499, as well as in Friday's Petrochemicalscan.

Platts currently publishes MTBE commentary on these pages.

The commentary page PB1498 would be discontinued and no ETBE or MTBE commentary will be published in Platts Biofuelscan. The daily ETBE price outright price assessment and differential to MTBE will continue to be published in Biofuelscan and on Platts Biofuel Alert.

The combined commentary would carry an analysis of the markets' fundamentals and have a separate rationale explaining the logic behind the following assessments and calculations:
