Following industry feedback, Platts conducted a review from March 2012 to reduce the current specification of water content in European MTBE water content from 1,000 ppm to 500 ppm. Platts has concluded that there has been insufficient evidence to support the change and Platts will continue to assess European MTBE on the prevalent standard of 1,000 ppm.
