New Platts Market Data (Dispatch) service launch dates/beta test

The launch dates of the new FTP distribution system for its Platts Market Data (formerly Dispatch) service has now been finalized.

On June 18, Platts will move the new system into production and make it available for those limited set of customers that must access via direct IP address.

On June 25, Platts will redirect the current URL ftp.platts.com to the new system.

Please note that the beta system URL and IP address will remain constant and available for further testing until June 4.

During the extended beta test period, Platts reserves the right to take down the system at any time for maintenance (i.e. the beta system may be temporarily unavailable) when needed.

Please also note we were not satisfied with the temporary workaround to address the /pub/ folder issue reported by some vendor partners and customers. Thus we have opted to eliminate the /pub/ folder as part of the launch on the new platform. As a result, all folders will reside in the root directory.

Platts intends to maintain operation of the current legacy system for at least sixty (60) days following the official launch on June 25. However, in order to take advantage of the accelerated publishing schedule referenced in the new user guide, users must access the new system. This amended schedule will not apply to the current legacy system

We would like to once again thank those of you who participated in beta testing this new platform and for your continued patience as we finalize this new system.
