SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to include KM Galena Park for USGC 0.5%S assessment

S&P Global Platts will reflect loadings from Kinder Morgan's Galena Park Terminal in its USGC 0.5% sulfur marine fuel oil assessments, effective June 3.

This is an addition to the current list of acceptable terminals for 0.5% sulfur marine fuel oil for FOB Houston loadings in the US Gulf Coast fuel oil market on close assessment process.

This is in response to market feedback and review of information on the terminal. Kinder Morgan Galena Park has 240 tanks with the total storage capacity of over 10 million barrels, including product storage for petroleum products. The terminal is connected to other Kinder Morgan terminals on the Houston Ship Channel, including Pasadena and Kinder Morgan Export terminal via 14 cross channel pipelines and has four barge docks and five ship docks to accommodate up to Panamax size vessels.

Platts may review the inclusion of additional terminals for its 0.5%S marine fuel oil assessments and may also review the list of existing acceptable terminals in relation to loading 0.5%S.

Platts' US Gulf Coast 0.5%S marine fuel oil assessments currently reflect fuel oil loading basis FOB Houston from the following terminals: Magellan Galena Park Terminal, Bayport Container Terminal (LBC), Houston Fuel Oil Terminal (HOFTI)and Battleground Oil Specialty Terminal (BOSTCO). Effective June 3, Kinder Morgan Galena Park will be added to that list.
