Platts changes US crude cargo MOC timing, increments

S&P Global Platts is changing its US crude cargo timing and increment guidelines effective June 1, 2020, to coincide with the launch of the WTI, Bakken and Eagle Ford FOB USGC Platts Market on Close assessment processes on eWindow technology.

Platts is updating the timing and increment guidelines to include a window extension period of one minute, as opposed to the two minute extension period in a manual MOC environment. The period during which a repeat or change of a bid or offer would trigger an extension will also be changed to the final 60 seconds before market close. The associated volume range for US crude cargoes in the eWindow will be changed to 500,000-1,000,000 barrels. Platts oil timing and increment guidelines can be found at: www.spglobal.com.
