Platts to resume Japan bunker MOC from May 12

Following a review of market conditions in Japan's bunker fuel markets, Platts proposes to resume its Market on Close assessment process for bunker fuel delivered in Tokyo Bay and Western Japan.

With effect from May 12, 2011, Platts will resume publication of firm bids, offers and intentions to trade on Platts Global Alert pages 190 and 997.

Platts has been assessing bunker fuel in Japan on an inferential basis since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that severely disrupted supply operations in much of Japan.
