Platts proposes new Philippines LPG assessments

Platts proposes to launch daily assessments on August 1, 2012 for pressurized LPG cargoes delivered to the Philippines.

These new assessments would be published outright price assessments, and the premiums or discount for cargoes relative to the Saudi Aramco Contract Price that prevails at the time the cargo is delivered.

Platts will reflect mixed cargoes in its assessment, containing 30% propane and 70% butane, for delivery 7-15 days after the date of assessment.

Platts will consider cargoes of 1,800-2,500 mt in size, for delivery to main ports in the Philippines, and normalize the value to Bataan. The assessments will be published alongside Platts' existing LPG assessments on Platts Global Alert page 479, Petrochemicals Alert page 254, in LPGaswire, and in Platts' market data services.
