Subscriber note: Platts to discontinue some Canada crude posting averages

Effective May 9, 2013, Platts will discontinue its Canada Crude Posting Averages for Mixed Light Sour, Sour Edmonton and Midale Cromer. Platts is discontinuing these averages because there were based on the postings of one company, Suncor Energy, which announced May 9 it was no longer posting prices for most of its crudes effective May 1. Platts will also, effective May 9, stop publishing Suncor's posted prices for these crudes. Platts publishes Suncor's crude postings on Platts Global Alert page 252, in the Oilgram Price Report, and the Oil Arbitrage Wire. These posted prices are also published in the Platts database under the following codes: Light Sour at Edmonton (PSASQ09), Light Sour at Cromer (PSASS09), Medium at Cromer (PSATD09), Koch Alberta at Edmonton (AARRS00), Lloyd Blend at Hardisty (AARRT00), WCS at Hardisty (PSCA039), Colorado Sweet (PSCA030). Platts publishes its Canada Crude Posting Averages on PGA page 253, in the Oilgram Price Report, the North American Crude Wire, the Crude Oil Marketwire and the Oil Arbitrage Wire. The averages are also published in the Platts database under the following codes: Mixed Light Sour (PCAFA00 and PCAEL00), Sour Edmonton (PCAIM00 and PCAIO00), Midale Cromer (PCAIQ00 and PCAIS00).
