SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes adding Czech Republic, Slovakia gas assessments

S&P Global Platts is seeking feedback on a proposal to launch natural gas price assessments for both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, following market trends of increased liquidity in the Central & Eastern European region, in addition to Platts’ commitment to increase coverage in this emerging area.

Platts proposes to add price assessments for day-ahead, weekend (Friday only), and month-ahead assessments for both markets from June, as well as publishing monthly averages for both markets. The price assessments would reflect the price in Eur/MWh for delivery of natural gas within the respective ISO networks prevailing at 16:30 London market close.

Platts also plans to publish the assessments in $/MMBtu, pence/therm and Eur/Gj, by converting the original assessments.
