Platts will launch the eWindow for its Asian paraxylene CFR Taiwan/China Market on Close assessment process on Friday, May 11.
The instruments listed from the 1-15 of the month will be the front-month, second-month and third-month outrights in US dollars a metric ton, as well as the: front-month/second-month, and second-month/third-month spreads. The instruments listed from the 16 to the end of the month will be the second-month, third-month and fourth month outrights in US dollars per metric ton, as well as the: second-month/third-month and third-month/fourth month spreads.
This will create a different format for headlines of bids and offers published on PCA005.
For example, a headline that currently appears as ?PX: Company A offers Any Jun at $974/mt CFR TND, 5kt, LC 30/45/60 days (MR)? will from May 11 be published as:
"Platts PX MR CFR TW-CN Jul ?18, Company A offers $990.00 for 5." Company short-form names may also appear differently. eWindow timings are as follows:
Last time to register price indications: 15.59.59 Singapore time for outright indications and spread indications. Incrementability: Maximum $1/mt a minimum of every 30 seconds Repeatability: Maximum of 30 seconds to repeat a bid or offer following a trade
Final state: None. Bids and offers can be changed in price up to the close of the assessment process.
Extension: 60-second extension triggered by a change in the bid/offer price or in the event a repeat bid or offer is made in the last 30 seconds. As per Platts methodology, buyers or sellers can withdraw bids/offers at any time, provided no prior interest to transact has been expressed by any potential counterparty. All bids and offers are firm from the moment submitted into Platts eWindow to the moment they are traded, eWindow period closes or the bid/offer order is withdrawn from the system by the trader or a Platts editor.
Please note that market participants can still send bids and offers directly to paraxylene editor for input. The timings will remain the same, and are as follows:
Last time to register price indications: 15.59.59 Singapore time for outright indications and spread indications.
Incrementability: Maximum $1/mt a minimum of every 1 min
Repeatability: Maximum of 30 seconds to repeat a bid or offer following a trade
Final state: 4:28.00. Bids and offers cannot be changed in price up to the close of the assessment process.
Extension: 60-second extension triggered in the event a repeat bid or offer is made between 4:28.00 and 4:29.59.
