Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to add Balance Month, Half Month, Full Month and Deemed Pricing as available pricing bases for the FOB Arab Gulf Naphtha Cargo Market on Close assessment process, effective July 1, 2025.
From July 1, market participants wishing to submit bids and offers for naphtha cargoes loading in the Arab Gulf may do so on a flat price FOB Fujairah basis or on a floating price basis against the Mean of Platts Arab Gulf Naphtha assessments, with predetermined deemed pricing dates for publication directly via the eWindow communication tool, or do so through an editor who would then publish the information using the software.
As a part of this proposed change, Platts would also introduce a final state of one minute for the FOB Arab Gulf Naphtha cargo MOC assessment process, effective July 1. The final state pricing period is the time during which there can be no more price changes for existing positions in the MOC.
To facilitate the proposed addition of new pricing bases and final state, the FOB Arab Gulf Naphtha cargo Market on Close assessment process will migrate to a new Phase 2 'PlattsNaphtha-AG' product portfolio on eWindow, effective July 1. Market participants are reminded that bids and offers will not automatically match on a Phase 2 eWindow environment even when the price and other parameters are the same.
There are no other changes to FOB Arab Gulf Naphtha cargo timing and increment guidelines as part of this proposal.
