After a period of market feedback, Platts has made the following decisions on proposed changes to its North American Natural Gas price format.
1. Natural gas common and absolute ranges in the daily price survey will be increased to three decimal places and rounded to the nearest half-cent, similar to the midpoint price. Note, price ranges published prior to June 1 will remain at two decimal places.
2. Flow date product symbols for each pricing location will be added to the Gas Daily and Inside FERC Gas Market Report First of Month price tables.
3. The common price range will remain in the Gas Daily price table.
The changes will take effect for the Gas Daily price table showing trade date Monday, June 1 for flow date Tuesday, June 2, 2015. The product symbols will appear in the Inside FERC Gas Market Report First of Month price tables beginning with the June 2015 publication.
