In order to ensure that all features/functionality operate properly and are fully tested, Platts is postponing the launch of the new FTP distribution system for its Platts Market Data (formerly Dispatch) service.
We are currently targeting early-mid June 2011 and will communicate the new launch date as soon as it has been finalized.
Please note that the beta system URL and IP address will remain constant and available for further testing until at least May 20th. During the extended beta test period, Platts will continue to use the previously communicated maintenance window (i.e. the beta system may be temporarily unavailable) when needed.
We have also implemented a temporary workaround to address the /pub/ folder issue reported by some vendor partners and customers. With this change, which can now be tested, the new platform should now work whether you are looking for the file folders under the /pub/ sub-directory or under the root directory. However, please note that our long-term plan is to eliminate the /pub/ sub-directory permanently, and we will do so no more than 90 days after launch of the new site.
Please note that our main concern remains to ensure the new system is fully operational before we launch it to our valued customers, and we are making every effort to ensure this. We certainly appreciate those that have participated in beta testing to date and we ask for your continued patience as we finalize this new system.
Please let us know if there are any outstanding questions or comments at ftp_beta@platts.com.
