Following an announcement from the Worldscale Association, Platts confirms that it is updating the Worldscale flat basis rate used to calculate FOB Arab Gulf assessments for naphtha, gasoline, gasoil, kerosene and fuel oil from May 4, 2015 as follows.
The Worldscale Association announced that "in light of recent information regarding revised port tariffs" it would amend all rates involving loading or discharging from Mina Abdulla, Mina Al Ahmadi and Shuaiba by adding $0.12, effective March 4, 2015.
It also announced that it would revise the port charge for Jebel Ali to $1.09/mt.
The Worldscale flat basis rate used to calculate FOB Arab Gulf unleaded gasoline assessments will be $15.89/mt.
The basis rate used to calculate the FOB Arab Gulf naphtha netback will be $29.61/mt for Long Range 1 and Long Range 2 vessels.
The basis rate used to calculate FOB Arab Gulf gasoil and kerosene assessments will be $15.75/mt, and for C+F Australia gasoil and jet $22.10/mt.
The basis rate used to calculate the netback FOB Arab Gulf 180 CST and 380 CST fuel oil assessments will be $16.27/mt.
The actual freight applied to derive the netback or C+F assessments fluctuates daily based on changes in Platts Dirty Tanker Wire and Clean Tanker Wire, applied against the respective 2015 flat rates.
