Platts will be launching eWindow technology for its US Atlantic Coast gasoline and distillates assessment processes on Friday, May 6, 2011. This will create a different format for headlines in PGA400 published for bids and offers.
For example, a headline that currently appears as "USAC: Distillates: Jet fuel: COP bids May plus 8.75 cents/gal, 25kb, BPL April 20-22" would instead be published as "Platts Distillates Jet USAC BE FE, Company xxx bids $0.0875 for 25."
In the new headline structure, the position volume will be expressed as a multiple of 25,000 barrels, with a minimum volume of 25,000 barrels. Also, prices are expressed in $/gal, rather than cents/gal, and reflect differentials to the front-month NYMEX contract prevailing at the time of loading. Company short-form names may also appear differently.
For questions and comments please contact Platts editors at the Yahoo IDs plattsusaclightproducts for distillates and plattsusacgasoline for gasoline, or by email at Americas_products@platts.com for gasoline.
