Following changes in trucking costs announced by the Brazil's National Land Transportation, S&P Global Platts will update its calculations for its Brazil Import Parity Prices for gasoline, jet fuel and diesel, effective May 1, 2020.
In Resolution No. 5.867, on January 14, Brazil's National Land Transportation Agency updated its published costs for trucking routes from January, incorporating return trip costs for truck routes as well as the cost of toll roads, among other changes.
Platts Brazil Import Parity Prices calculate the terminal value of gasoline, jet fuel and diesel, including costs to transport fuels from the US Gulf Coast to relevant Brazilian ports, storage and subsequent inland costs.
The Brazil Import Parity Prices are published on the Latin American Wire and on Platts Global Alert page 166.
