SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts adds four new LNG loadports from SE Asia

S&P Global Platts added LNG freight costs from Bontang, Tangguh, Singapore and Bintulu into some of the existing discharge ports listed, effective May 1.

The move introduced 12 new voyages in total to the following destinations: Japan/ South Korea (Futtsu), South China/Taiwan (Guangdong Dapeng) and West India (Dahej).

Platts first proposed adding these freight routes and others on March 1.

The voyage length in days for these voyages are estimated as follows:

Days Futtsu Dapeng Dahej Bontang 6 4 9 Tangguh 6 5 11 Bintulu 6 3 8 Singapore 7 4 6

The loadport costs assumed are as follows:

Loadport cost (USD) Bontang 90,000 Tangguh 30,000 Singapore 75,000 The load port cost for Bintulu will be MYR800,000. Platts will convert this to USD daily for the calculation of the corresponding freight costs.

The bunker fuel basis for these routes would be Singapore.
