Platts to introduce US cumene assessment on May 8

Platts will add a balance month US spot cumene assessment, starting on May 8.

The daily assessment to be published on PCA208 would reflect cumene conforming to ASTM D7057 available in the current month basis FOB US US Gulf Coast, for a standard volume of 10,000 barrels typically loading 5 days forward from date of publication.

As well, the assessment month would roll over 5 working days before the end of the calendar month.

For example, the balance month will roll from May to June on May 25, 2009.

The weekly assessment will be published every Friday in the Europe and Americas Petrochemical Scan.
