Following industry feedback and changes to pipeline shipping requirements, Platts discontinued its US Gulf Coast 93-octane (V-grade) gasoline pipeline and waterborne supplemental assessments with effect from March 31, 2017. Platts first proposed this discontinuation in a subscriber note published September 16, 2016
These assessments were published under codes PGAJH00 and PGAJF00 and were typically published from early April to early September each year.
The discontinuation follows a decision by Colonial Pipeline to no longer ship 93-octane gasoline with 7.8 RVP.
The main assessment for 93-octane gasoline on the prompt Colonial cycle, as reflected by the symbol PGAJB00, will continue. The main 93-octane waterborne assessment will also continue under the code PGAIX00.
Supplemental assessments appear in US Marketscan and on PGA332. The main assessments appear in US Marketscan and on PGA330.
