Platts changes non-aromatics content in European mixed xylene assessments to maximum 3%

Effective April 24, 2020, S&P Global Platts has increased the maximum non-aromatics content allowed in its European mixed xylene assessments to maximum 3%.

Material with differing non-aromatics content may be normalized to maximum 3%.

All other specifications remain unchanged. Platts will reflect the following MX specifications:

Product Specifications: Product conforming to the latest edition of ASTM D-843, with one or more isomers removed; the non-aromatics content set at the maximum of 3% and the maximum ethylbenzene content at 20%.

There are no limits on metaxylene, paraxylene and orthoxylene content.
