S&P Global Platts will assess CFR Taiwan styrene monomer prices based on the latest price information sourced from the market up to close of the assessment period at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT), where previously CFR Taiwan was assessed at flat to the Platts CFR China SM price, effective May 22, 2018. Prices assessed would reflect price information, adjacent market activity reported to Platts throughout the day, and values for all reported trades normalized to reflect the prevailing value of the market at 4:30 pm Singapore time. This change is in response to China imposing antidumping duties (ADD) on SM of South Korean, Taiwan and US origin implemented February 13, 2018, which will see the prices for SM delivered into China and Taiwan deviate in value.
