S&P Global Commodity Insights wishes to clarify the description of the natural color for the Asia Pacific recycled polyethylene assessments.
S&P Global natural color recycled polyethylene assessments reflect pellets, unadulterated with color pigments.
Natural color refers to a wide variety of off-white shades, including, but not limited to the color images and codes below.
* The colors are based on Platts best estimate.
This clarification follows an analysis of industry feedback that color is a price determinant.
Full description of the recycled plastics methodology in Asia could be found here https://www.spglobal.com/commodity-insights/PlattsContent/_assets/_files/en/our-methodology/methodology-specifications/asia_pacific_petrochemicals.pdf
