Platts to proceed with changes to Enerdata daily natural gas indexes

Following a period of market feedback and review of existing Canadian Enerdata Ltd. natural gas pricing, S&P Global Platts has decided to proceed with the following discontinuations, consolidations and additions to the daily Enerdata indexes starting from the June 1, 2020 trade date.

Platts will make the following changes:

• Discontinue all CGPR Enerdata daily indexes. These CGPR indexes are currently comprised of ICE NGX trade data and Enerdata price reporter non-ICE NGX trades. These would be replaced by ICE NGX indexes or Platts indexes, where applicable. This change does not impact existing NGX contracts, which will continue to be published
• Discontinue and consolidate various pricing tables on Enerdata.com
• Add daily NGX locations that are currently not published in existing Enerdata publications for complete record of NGX contracts.

Discontinuations on Enerdata.com:

The following daily tables currently published on Enerdata.com will be discontinued, and consolidated into a single daily pricing table alongside a rolling month to date value for each location:

• ICE NGX AB-NIT Day Ahead
• ICE NGX TransGas Energy Pool Same Day
• ICE NGX Dawn Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Empress Transport Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Station 2 Day Ahead
• ICE NGX APC-ATP 5A Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Iroquois Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Emerson 1 Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Emerson 2 Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Parkway Day Ahead
• ICE NGX St. Clair Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Enbridge CDA Day Ahead
• ICE NGX AB-NIT Yesterday
• ICE NGX Station 2 Same Day

Please note that the ICE NGX indexes will not be discontinued, and will continue to be published in a consolidated daily pricing table. Bilateral transactional information submitted by market participants will no longer be included in development of the daily indexes.

The ICE NGX AB-NIT Same Day 1-5 and ICE NGX AB-NIT Month Ahead 7a daily tables on Enerdata.com will continue to publish month-to-date values.

The following daily tables and prices will be discontinued on Enerdata.com:

• CGPR Huntingdon Day Ahead
• CGPR Stn 2, B.C. Day Ahead

In addition, all US prices published on Enerdata.com will be discontinued.

NGX Contract Additions:

In addition to the existing ICE NGX indexes published on Enerdata.com, Platts will commence publishing of the following ICE NGX indexes on a daily cadence:

• ICE NGX APC-ATP Day Ahead
• ICE NGX APC-ATP Same Day
• ICE NGX APC-ATP Yesterday
• ICE NGX Spectra Huntingdon Day Ahead
• ICE NGX East Hereford Day Ahead
• ICE NGX TCPL-Empress Day Ahead
• ICE NGX TCPL-Enbridge EDA Day Ahead
• ICE NGX TCPL-Energir EDA Day Ahead
• ICE NGX TCPL-Niagara Day Ahead
• ICE NGX TCPL-Suffield 2 Day Ahead
• ICE NGX TransGas Energy Pool Day Ahead
• ICE NGX Union Dawn Same Day

In addition to the above, Platts will commence publishing the daily traded values for the following ICE NGX AB-NIT Same Day contracts:

• ICE NGX Same Day 1
• ICE NGX Same Day 1A
• ICE NGX Same Day 2
• ICE NGX Same Day 2A
• ICE NGX Same Day 3
• ICE NGX Same Day 3A
• ICE NGX Same Day 4
• ICE NGX Same Day 4A
• ICE NGX Same Day 5
• ICE NGX Same Day 5A

The above are in addition to the month-to-date values for all ICE NGX Same Day contracts.

The daily symbols will be available in the GD market data category on May 1, 2020, and there will be parallel publishing period starting on this date for both legacy Enerdata distribution and Platts distribution, culminating on June 1.

Existing customers of Canadian Enerdata Ltd. will receive an email with revised and final mock ups following market feedback, as well as a complete list of symbols for preparation of upcoming changes.

The above changes in the daily market will go into effect trade date June 1, 2020 following parallel publishing.

In addition to the above changes to the existing Enerdata daily prices, CGPR Weekly will be discontinued following the June 1 edition.
