Platts is proposing to increase the frequency of the Polish electricity baseload and peakload price assessments for the following contracts from monthly to daily: month-ahead, month-ahead +1, month-ahead +2, quarter-ahead and year-ahead.
Platts also proposes launching daily assessments for Polish day-ahead and week-ahead baseload and peakload electricity.
The assessments would complement our existing coverage of the European electricity markets with assessments published each UK working day, in Zloty/MWh with a conversion to Eur/MWh.
Daily assessments would be published in European Power Daily and page 91 of European Power Alert with monthly averages also published in Power in Europe and Energy in East Europe.
Due to a lack of sufficient liquidity, Platts also proposes discontinuing the month-ahead off-peak monthly assessment on December 31, 2010.
In line with our existing European electricity market assessments, Platts would apply the market-on-close methodology for the proposed assessments.
Platts proposes starting the new daily assessments on July 1.
