Following an industry review, Platts proposes to add from June 1, 2011, a distillation quality specification for its FOB Singapore motor gasoline (mogas) assessments of 92.0, 95.0 and 97.0 RON.
Platts proposes to add a distillation specification of Min 70 degrees Celsius for 50% evaporated (50% volume recovery).
This minimum is in line with quality specifications for gasoline from around the Asian region, imported into major consuming countries Vietnam and Indonesia.
Platts current specification for distillation of Max 127 degrees Celsius for 50% evaporated remains unchanged.
Platts invites comments on these proposed changes by May 2, 2011, to asia_oilproducts@platts and pricegroup@platts.com.
