Platts to discontinue third-party CERs, keep Nasdaq EUAs

S&P Global Platts has decided to discontinue third-party prices for Certified Emission Reduction (CER) price data effective April 22, 2021, and to keep Nasdaq EU Allowance Unit (EUA) following market feedback and consultation.

Platts originally published the proposal on Jan. 20, 2021 in the subscriber note found here: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/012021-platts-proposes-to-discontinue-third-party-cer-nasdaq-eua-price-data.

The decision by Platts to discontinue CERs was in response to the change in market conditions and discontinuation of this data from a third party provider.
