S&P Global Platts wants to clarify that the Atlantic LNG Market on Close assessment process for DES Northwest Europe and Mediterranean Markers assessments reflects offers with cargo quantity ranges considered fungible in the broader market.
The maximum quantity range stated in offers published during the Atlantic LNG MOC process should be no greater than 0.3 TBtu.
An example of an offer with a 0.3 TBtu quantity range would be 3.1-3.4 TBtu, with an operational tolerance of plus/minus 5% at the seller's option.
Under Platts existing MOC guidelines for the European LNG market, for cargoes offered or bid for in a volume range (i.e. 3.1-3.4 TBtu plus/minus 5%), the specific volume (i.e. 3.3 TBtu plus/minus 5%) should be declared by the seller a reasonable number of days prior to delivery, and this declaration deadline must be stated in the offer or bid.
