S&P Global Platts thanks our subscribers for your attention to our efforts to migrate our legacy Platts Market Data FTP sites to new, more secure sites that can only be accessed using the secure FTP (SFTP) protocol. This migration affirms our commitment to data protection and cybersecurity by delivering data only over encrypted, secure and compliant protocols.
Our priority is to ensure a seamless transition for subscribers to our more secure sites. After assessing subscribers' current requirements, we are extending the deadline for migration to Thursday, May 2.

Important information for using the SFTP protocol to access the new FTP delivery sites
If you use a client software like FileZilla to connect, this change requires you to specify Protocol=SFTP and port=22. If you utilize a script, it must specify protocol as SFTP and/or port=22.
If you currently connect to S&P Global Platts via SSH you should not need a new encryption key, however if you experience any issues please contact our Client Services team.
Web browsers do not support SFTP and can no longer be used to access the FTP delivery sites.

What if I need more time to make necessary changes to automated routines?
The legacy FTP sites are running in a support mode that is available until Thursday, May 2. Please contact our Client Services team to discuss alternatives if your cutover cannot be finished by then. We're happy to help. Please note that we do not anticipate extending the deadline beyond May 2.
What if, in the course of migrating to the new site, I see a "Warning -- remote host identification has changed" message?
You may receive this message when you attempt access to the new sites the first time. Please click "yes" to continue to access to the new sites.
If you experience any issues connecting, please contact Client Services team for assistance.
