Platts extends USAC ethanol feedback period

Platts is extending the feedback deadline for its proposal to change the timing for its US Atlantic Coast spot ethanol assessment to "any month" timing from the current five to 15 days from date of publication timing window.

The new feedback deadline for this proposal is April 19, 2010, and Platts is also seeking feedback on appropriate launch timing for this change.

Under this proposal, the any month-based assessment would roll over to the following month on the first business day after the 25th of each month. For example, "any May" would roll over to "any June" on May 26. With this timing, the buyer would have the option to nominate for any loading period during the month prior to the 25th, and would provide five days notice of a three-day window to the seller.
