The Singapore government has confirmed that the holiday of Deepavali will be observed this year on Saturday, October 17.
No weekday has been declared as a make-up national vacation day, and therefore Platts will publish all Asia and Middle Eastern oil assessments as normal throughout the weeks before and after Deepavali.
The date has changed since Platts originally published its 2009 publishing schedule. Sunday, November 15 had initially been identified as Deepavali, with Monday, November 16 declared as a national holiday in observance.
Owing to the date change, November 16 is no longer a national holiday in Singapore, and Platts shall publish all assessments as normal on that date.
For a full list of Platts publishing dates, please see http://www.platts.com/holiday_schedule.jsp#March.
For a full list of Singapore national holidays, please see http://www.mom.gov.sg/publish/momportal/en/general/2009_Public_Holidays.html.
Platts will amend its available publishing schedules accordingly. Please send questions and comments to asia_products@platts.com.
